Schuwirth Stick - Glider - Simulator

The ultimate stick for use with soaring flight simulator software like Condor3.    

By far the easiest way to control the LX9070 in Condor3 is using the Schuwirth Stick - Glider - Simulator. 

When Condor3 was introduced, it brought the power of the LX9070 to the Condor3 simulator cockpit.  A popular option with the LX9070 in real sailplanes is the LXNAV Stick - which makes it easy to control the LX9070 with buttons and rocker switches on the stick - allowing the pilot to keep his/her hand on the stick - rather than reaching up to the instrument panel to use the user-interface on the front of the LX9070.  Since pilots flying in the Condor3 Soaring Flight Simulator can't reach out and touch the LX9070, it is instead controlled using buttons on the computer keyboard, or buttons on a stick or throttle quadrant. 

Pilots with experience flying with an LX90x0 and LXNAV Stick in a real sailplane will immediately feel at home using this stick in Condor3.  Conversely, simulator pilots that get practice with this stick in Conodr3 will know how to use the LXNAV Stick in any real sailplane.

• 2 Hat-Switches on the top of the stick - up, down, left, right, and push-button functions

Recommended Button Assignments

• Top Hat-Switch
  For adjusting the view in Condor3 - Look left, right, up, down - all around.  
  Assign the Top Hat-Switch's push-button function to jump the view back to front and center.
• Center Hat-Switch
  For controlling the LX9070 in Condor3
  
  • LX stick left / flight comp zoom out
  • LX stick right / flight comp zoom in
  • LX stick up / flight comp up
  • LX stick down / flight comp down
  • Assign the Center Hat-Switch's push-button function as the LX9070 "OK" / "Enter" button.
• Top-Left Push-Button
  Assign to the LX9070 "Mode Left" button
• Top-Right Push-Button
  Assign to the LX9070 "Mode Right" button
• Lower-Left Push-Button
  Often used for the radio PTT (push-to-talk), but it can be assigned to any function in Condor3. 
• Lower-Right Push-Button
  Assign to the LX9070 "Cancel". 
• Small Push-Button on the Front of the Stick
  Often used for changing the LX9070 between "cruise" mode and "climb" mode.  

Options

• Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base
  The base is required for using the Schuwirth Stick-Condor-Simulator with Condor3.  It is optional only because some customers may already have the Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base.  
  
  
• Condor-Desk-Mount
  Remove the metal base plate from the Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base, and use the Schuwirth-Joystick-Base-Adapter (see below) to mount the base to the Condor-Desk-Mount.  It's a very rugged and solid setup.
   
  
• Schuwirth-Joystick-Base-Adapter
  Required for mounting the Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base to the Condor-Desk-Mount
  
  
  
• Joystick-Ultra-Soft-Spring
  The centering spring that is included inside the Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base is quite stiff.  It doesn't feel like the soft centering force found in most sailplanes.  This much softer centering spring makes the combination of the Schuwirth Stick-Glider-Simulator and the Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base feel much more like a real sailplane.  It also reduces fatigue - so you can fly Condor3 longer and with more comfort.
