Cable, ILEC SN-10 (S/N: > 99) to Instrument Panel, PS-5a and Garmin GPS35-HVS
This cable is designed to enable a PDA (Pocket PC or Palm device) and an SN-10 to be connected to a Garmin GPS35-HVS.  It replaces the ILEC "Cockpit Panel Cable".  It includes all the connections found in that cable.  3 cables exit the back of the DB-9m connector that plugs into the SN-10.  A 0.5 m (19.7") cable goes to a DB-9f connector that is to be mounted in the instrument panel.  This connector is used for data transfers to the SN-10 from a PC and for connection of the SN10-R remote control unit.  A 0.5 m (19.7") cable goes to a DB-9f connector for the PS-5a power converter (which sends power and data to the PDA).  A 1 m, 2 m, or 3 m cable goes to the Garmin GPS16-HVS.  You select the cable length between the SN-10 and GPS35 when you order this cable. The SN-10 provides 12V power for the Garmin GPS35. The Garmin GPS35-HVS is not included in this price. 

New Version
In August of 2005 ILEC released a new version of the SN-10 firmware which can send receive data from a GPS, add ILEC wind and vario data to the GPS data stream and send all the data to a PDA.  Details are available here.  Due to the wiring change required to accommodate this new software feature, there are now 2 versions of this cable.  Below is a summary of the two versions.  You can select the desired version when you order.

• "Y" Version - SN-10 Firmware version 2.30 or lower - GPS data splits and goes directly to both the PDA and SN-10.  Note: There is a free upgrade to the latest version available here.
• "Through SN10" Version - SN-10 Firmware version 2.31 or higher - Data goes from the GPS to the SN-10 and then from the SN-10 to the PDA.

Using a Pocket PC for SN-10 Waypoint Database and Fight Log Transfers
It is possible to send waypoint files to the SN-10 from a Pocket PC.  You can also download flight logs from the SN-10 to the Pocket PC.  That way you don't need to bring a PC to the airport.  Details are available here.
