Designed in Germany in 1933. It was a single seat glider.
The kit includes the complete airframe, glazed cockpit canopy (2 different canopies), 1/72 scale plans, decals, and assembly and painting instructions.

The excellent book Sailplanes 1920 - 1945 by Martin Simons includes an excellent write-up, photos and scale drawings of this glider.  A quote from the book, "The success of this type exceeded all expectations.  Its appearance on the market came at the right time.  It was inexpensive.  The handling was adequate for beginners yet 'Silver C' flights (five hours duration, 1000 meters gain of height, and 50 km distance) were quite within reach.  By the end of 1933 Schneider was producing a GB2 every three days."
