May 25, '00 Tom Kuhfeld PW-5 Stanton "My flight was a leisurely one in mostly blue conditions:  Stanton, Randolph, FBL, Owatonna, Waseca, FBL, and Stanton.  Then I tried the Remde SST (Stanton Short Task). I did that OK until rounding the last turn point at Cannon Falls, got too low, and landed in a nice field just north of Cannon Falls for my first out landing.  Thanks to instruction from Bob Wander and Jim Hard, it was a non event.  I tried to save myself so long that landing was better than turning in a terrible time."

May 25, '00 Dick Andrews Ventus b Stanton Down wind dash to Scales Mound, IL, 195 miles, Took off at 11:30 and landed at 2:50, (58.5 mph), "My crew (Dale Erickson) arrived at 11:30 pm and we disassembled the glider under the watchful eye of the
friendly and helpful local sheriff and daughter of the land owner.  We spent
the night at the home of Gordy Glasgow, owner of the field and had rolls and
coffee at the local tavern with Gordy and his buddies the next morning."

Apr. 30, '00 Chris Cooper 1-35c Stanton Fun 4 hour flight.  Second cross-country flight in a glider.  Stanton to Dodge Center to Owatonna to Stanton to Cannon Falls and back to Stanton. chris_cooper

Apr. 9, '00 Jim Hard 1-26 Benson Benson's to Monroe, WI, 248 miles, 6:10 (hours:minutes), Just for fun.
Apr. 8, '00 Dick Andrews Ventus B w/ 17.5m tips Stanton Delbert flight from Stanton to Benson's.  Then put Delbert trophy into glider (behind parachute), received a tow from the RWSA towplane and flew back to Stanton.
Mar. '00 Don Ingraham Discus CS   Don was finally given word from the SSA that his 315 mile flight last summer has qualified him for a free 10 day soaring vacation at the Hilton Ranch this summer!  He will be bringing his wife Kathy as a guest.
